Two pickups, music blaring, pull up at the range.
🎵 “Lie to You for Your Love” – The Bellamy Brothers 🎵
A pair of men hop out of each — Trail & Tribe guys from the gravel pit.
Turtle nudges Bingo. “Heads up.”
Both groups give each other the stink eye. The four burly men head to the gun shop. As Milly walks off the range, Bingo and Turtle wave to her and point at the newly arrived danger. Milly walks towards it.
A burly man approaches. “Don’t I know you? The movies, maybe?”
Milly brightens. “Well, I’m learning to shoot, so this one’s going to have lots of action!”
The men are delighted.
“The working title of the film is Millions!” She fans the headline in the air with her fingers. “Suri Cruise is producing it.” Milly cavorts with the men.
Posing as an actress …
They nod, impressed. One raises his phone.
“Oops! No photos, my manager wouldn’t like that. But I’ll sign autographs!”
The shopkeeper loans a pen.
Milly buys another box of ammo. The Trail & Tribe guys set up nearby, shooting assault rifles. They exchange tips, laughing, raising fingers in the air with her to check the wind. The men even let Milly fire their guns.
Bingo holds up two cans of Mountain-O soda. “I wind up in the strangest places with you, Turtle.” They toast. “Maybe Heoh knows what he’s doing, after all.”
